I enjoyed the Irish steel cut oatmeal so much the other morning, I decided to order it again for today’s breakfast. Here’s a recycled photo:

The creamy oats, warmed skim milk, golden raisins, dried fruit, and brown sugar were every bit as good the second time around!
Today was another chill day spent in Teton Village. John and I sat outside at the RMO Cafe of the Mangy Moose Restaurant for lunch.

I had the Sonoran Salad, with the dressing on the side.

I really liked the black bean & corn relish, but there wasn’t enough of it! This salad was comprised of mainly ribs of lettuce.

We stopped off for a completely necessary photo underneath the gigantic Jackson Hole sign on our walk back to the Four Seasons.

My rather measly lunch left me a bit hungry, so I snacked on a couple of the 2-bite energy bars from the hotel spa/lounge.

As well as this IZZE soda – great flavor!

For dinner, we headed into Jackson to the Snake River Brewery.

Obviously, we started with some beer samples.

My favorite was the lager, followed by the pale ale.
Where the brewing action occurs:

John ordered the Wood Fired Flatbread, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil & seasoned with sea salt and ground pepper, to start – and I had one wedge. This flatbread was basically really good baked pizza dough without the usual toppings – although a tasty marinara sauce was served alongside for dipping.

I ordered the SRB Cobb salad w/o the bacon & with the dressing on the side.

Now this was a salad I could sink my teeth into! Despite the blurry photo, this salad was awesome. I’ve never had apples on a cobb salad before, but they were an excellent addition. I also really liked the apple cider vinaigrette.

I had my hopes up for a scoop of ice cream from a local creamery, but my hopes were dashed when we found the place closed
. Not able to let go of my ice cream craving, I opted for Haagen-Dazs. This is the Vanilla Honey Bee flavor, and it was great! The honey taste was very slight, but enough for it to shine through the vanilla flavor. Perfect!

Time to rest up for another hiking day tomorrow – weather permitting. It’s raining right now, but I can’t complain because it’s the first precipitation we’ve encountered during our honeymoon
.
